The packing list builds itself from your kit: gear you marked as owned appears under equipment to pack, gear you marked as rented under equipment to rent, and you can add anything else under custom items. Ticks stay until you clear or reset them, so the list is ready to reuse for your next trip. To open it, tap checklist in the menu. The page is titled packing list.

Where the rows come from

The two equipment sections come from your kit on the my equipment page, where each item is marked own or rent. See Your kit: own or rent. Gear is listed alphabetically. Your kit also has items you can only pack, such as your certification card, nitrox card and medication. Mark them and they appear under equipment to pack.
Your packing list reads your kit, not your gear list. Adding a regulator to your gear list for service tracking doesn’t put it on your packing list, and doesn’t mark it owned. Mark it on my equipment for that.
To change what’s on the list, tap choose equipment at the foot of equipment to pack. When you come back, the list updates, and ticks on gear you’ve unmarked are dropped. If you haven’t marked any gear yet, equipment to pack says the gear you own shows up here, ready to tick off, with a choose equipment button.

Pack your own gear

Tick each row under equipment to pack as it goes in the bag.

Confirm your rentals

Tick each row under equipment to rent once the shop has it arranged. This section only appears when you’ve marked something as rented.

Check the totals

The top of the page shows two figures: packed (your own gear plus custom items) and rented. Each turns green when its set is complete.
Each section heading also shows its own count, for example 3/8. The packed figure leaves rentals out, because rented gear is arranged rather than packed. Home’s packing row (for example 9 of 14 packed) counts the same way. See Get ready for a trip.

Add your own items

Type the item

Under custom items, tap add an item and type, for example “spare mask strap” or “reef-safe sunscreen”. Items can be up to 60 characters.

Add the next one

Press done on the keyboard, or tap the add an item row that appears underneath. The keyboard stays up for the next item. Tapping away from the field also adds what you typed.
Custom items stay in the order you added them. If you type something that’s already on the list (capital letters don’t count as different), nothing is added and the app tells you that item is already on your list. To remove a custom item, tap the × at the end of its row. There’s no confirmation, since it’s one line to retype.

Clear or reset your checks

Clearing and resetting remove ticks only. The items themselves stay on the list. Both stay greyed out until something is ticked.

Your ticks are saved

Ticks and custom items are kept when you leave the page or close the app. They’re saved to your account along with your kit, so they come back when you sign in on another phone. Clearing your whole kit on my equipment empties the two equipment sections. Your custom items stay.
