Before a trip: no trip planned
When you have no trip on file, home reads no trip planned, with plan a trip with the travel agent under it. At the foot are add a trip and log a dive. Adding a trip is covered in Add a trip. Under the heading, home shows facts from your logbook: how many dives you’ve logged and how many days since your last dive. Facts it can’t work out are left off. start here appears on a brand-new account, with no dives and no trips. Its three rows are add your next trip, log a past dive and everything else is in the menu. Each one does what it says on tap. The group goes away once you have a trip or a dive on file. meanwhile lists things that matter whether or not you’re travelling:- Gear that is due for service soon or overdue (from your gear list).
- Insurance that has expired or expires within 60 days. See Your certifications and insurance.
- A long time since your last dive, when many shops start asking for a refresher. Tap dismiss to hide it; the dismissal is remembered on this phone only.
While a trip is ahead or underway
Home is about your nearest trip that hasn’t ended. The headline shows the destination, the countdown (“days until you leave”, or you’re on your trip once it starts) and the dates. Tap the pencil beside it to edit or remove the trip. If you have another trip booked after it, a line reads “then” followed by that destination and date. Only the nearest trip can be opened from home. add another trip under the dates adds the next trip without changing this one. If SCUBAzen has a water temperature for your destination, the facts include it (water now, or the typical water for that month) and what you wore on past dives that warm. Tap the reading to open Zenfinder at that temperature. The checks come in two groups:- what the shop needs: what a dive shop checks before it takes you diving. This covers insurance that runs out before you get home, certifications on file, own or rent answers for the essentials, and sizes for gear you’re renting. A refresher note appears here too when you’ll have been out of the water for a year by the day you leave. Checks that pass show as done.
- your own kit: your packing list progress and gear due for service. These never hold up your paperwork.
After a trip: the week you get back
For 7 days after a trip’s return date, home is about that trip. The headline reads welcome back with the number of days you’ve been home, and the facts show how many dives you’ve logged from the trip next to your logbook total.- log a dive from the trip sits directly under the count.
- while you unpack has one check box: rinse your gear and let it dry before you store it. It only appears if you own gear, and it goes away once ticked.
- meanwhile shows any standing tasks, as on the no-trip page.
If home can’t load
If home can’t read your trips and logbook, it says it couldn’t load your trip and logbook and asks you to check your connection, with a try again button. log a dive stays available. The menu
Tap the menu button at the top left. The menu has three sections. Some rows open a page with a different title from the row’s label; the table gives both.
When you come back to home from any of these pages, it re-reads what changed, so a task you just fixed folds away.
