Tap a dive in your logbook to open it. It opens read-only; tap the pencil to edit it, then save, or tap the x to cancel and put it back as it was. The bin icon deletes the dive together with its equipment checklist, dive type and photos, and that can’t be undone.

Open a dive

Open the menu, tap logbook, and tap the dive’s row. The page is titled dive detail. The top of the page shows the dive number, the dive site, the place and date, and the dive’s max depth and dive time once it has them. Below those, small tags show day or night, salt or fresh, boat or shore, deco dive if it was one, and the rating out of 5. The sections underneath show every reading you recorded; a reading you didn’t record shows as a dash. The location section only appears when the dive has a place or a pin on the map.

Edit a dive

1

Tap the pencil

The pencil (edit) is in the top bar. The page switches to the same form you log a dive with. See Log a dive for what each section records.
2

Make your changes

You can change any field, including the dive #. To remove a reading, clear the field. altitude is the exception: set it to 0 instead, because a cleared altitude keeps its old value.
3

Save

Tap save. The app shows changes saved and the dive goes back to read-only. You stay on the dive.
Nothing carries over from another dive when you edit, and day or night isn’t recalculated from the sun. Set light yourself if it needs changing.

Cancel an edit

Tap the x (cancel) beside save. If you’ve changed anything, the app asks Discard your changes?. Tap discard to put the dive back exactly as it was saved and stay on it, or cancel to keep editing. If you haven’t changed anything, it closes the edit straight away. Tapping the back arrow while editing asks the same question, then leaves the dive if you tap discard. An edit in progress isn’t kept if the app closes. The dive stays as it was last saved.
On iPhone, swiping from the edge of the screen doesn’t leave a dive while you’re editing it. Use the back arrow or the x.

Equipment, dive type and photos save on their own

The equipment, dive type and media rows work whether or not you’ve tapped the pencil, and each has its own save. A change you save there stays saved even if you then cancel your edit of the dive itself. See Gear used on a dive, Dive type and Dive photos.

Saving without a connection

If the save can’t reach the server, the change is still saved on your phone. The dive goes back to read-only and a notice says it’s saved on your phone and will sync when you’re back online.

Delete a dive

Deleting a dive is permanent. It removes the dive and its equipment checklist, its dive type and its photos. There is no undo.
1

Tap the bin icon

The bin (delete dive) is in the top bar, whether or not you’re editing.
2

Confirm

The app asks Delete this dive?. Tap delete to go ahead, or cancel to keep the dive.
The app shows dive deleted and returns you to your logbook, where the count ticks down. Deleting needs a connection to finish. Without one, a notice says there’s no connection and the dive stays open on screen. The delete may or may not have gone through, so check your logbook when you’re back online. If the delete is refused for another reason, a notice says it couldn’t delete and the dive is still there.
