Tap add a trip at the bottom of home, type where you’re going, pick your out and back dates, and tap save. Home then checks your kit, paperwork, insurance and gear against that trip until you’re home.
Add your trip
Open the trip sheet
On home, tap add a trip. On your first visit you can also tap add your next trip under start here. The sheet is titled add your trip.
Say where
Type the destination in where. It’s free text, up to 80 characters, so write it the way you’d say it: “Raja Ampat”, “Cozumel” or “Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt”.
Pick your dates
Tap out and choose the day you leave, then tap back and choose the day you come home. back stays greyed out until out has a date.
Save
Tap save. It only becomes available once all three fields are filled in and the dates make sense.
Home switches to your trip: the destination, a countdown, your dates, and the checks described in Get ready for a trip.
The rules the sheet follows
The destination also decides whether home can show a water temperature for your trip. See Get ready for a trip.
Add another trip
With a trip on home, tap add another trip under its dates to book the one after it. The sheet opens empty.
Home still shows the nearest trip. The next one appears as a single line under the dates, for example “then Bonaire · march 4”.
Edit or remove your trip
Open the trip
On home, tap the pencil beside the destination. The sheet opens titled your trip.
Change it
Edit where, out or back, then tap save. For a trip that has already started, the out calendar keeps the original departure date as its earliest day.
Or remove it
Tap remove trip at the bottom of the sheet, then remove trip again in the remove this trip? dialog.
Removing a trip deletes it. There’s no undo. If you have another trip on file, home moves on to the next one and keeps checking against it.
Only the trip home is showing can be edited or removed. A later trip, such as the one named in the “then” line, has no pencil until it becomes your nearest trip.
Closing the sheet
The sheet doesn’t close with a downward swipe. Tap cancel, tap outside the sheet, or use your phone’s back gesture. While a save is in progress the sheet stays open until the save finishes.
Saving without a connection
Trips save to your account, so they’re on any phone you sign in on. With no connection, the sheet waits up to 12 seconds, then closes and home tells you the trip was saved on your phone and will sync when you’re back online. A removal works the same way.
If a save fails, the sheet stays open with what you typed and shows a message saying it couldn’t save your trip. The same message appears when a removal fails.
After the trip
For seven days after your back date, home shows the trip as “welcome back” with a count of dives logged from it and a log a dive from the trip button. The pencil still edits it. After that week, home goes back to no trip planned and you can add the next one.
