Your kit is your answer, item by item, to “do you bring this or does the shop supply it?” In settings, tap equipment; the page is titled my equipment. Tap own or rent on each row. There’s no save button: every tap is saved straight away, and the answers fill your packing list and your dive shop paperwork.
Your kit is separate from your gear list. Marking an item own here doesn’t add it to Track your gear, and adding gear there doesn’t mark it owned here. The kit says what you bring on a trip; the gear list tracks individual pieces and their servicing.

Open the page

  • From settings: tap equipment under diving.
  • From home: when a trip is coming up and essentials have no answer, home shows a line such as “3 essentials have no answer”. Tap it.
  • From the paperwork page: tap the equipment row.
  • From the packing list: tap choose equipment.
  • During setup: it’s the third step.
When you arrive from a warning on home or the paperwork page, the rows that still need an answer are highlighted.

Mark your kit

Each row has two buttons, own and rent.
  • Tap own if you’ll bring it. Borrowing counts as own: if a friend lends you a regulator, you’re still bringing it, so mark it own.
  • Tap rent if the shop will supply it. A tank the dive shop or boat provides counts as rent.
  • Tap the button that’s already on to turn it off. The item goes back to unmarked.
Gear you don’t use and won’t rent (a drysuit in the tropics, a speargun) can stay unmarked. The rows are grouped into basics, life support, exposure protection, extras and papers & personal. The papers & personal rows (certification, nitrox card and medication) have a single bring button instead, because no shop can supply them. The first time you open the page, certification is already marked to bring. Once you’ve marked something, the top of the page shows a summary such as “6 of your own · 3 to rent”.

The essentials

Nine items need an answer, own or rent, before your paperwork is complete: bcd, regulator, octopus, tank, weightbelt, pressure gauge, computer, mask and fins. Each unanswered essential shows needs an answer under its name. Once you’ve started marking, the top of the page also lists what’s left: “still to mark, owned or rented”, followed by the items. Unanswered essentials also appear on home’s trip checklist and on the paperwork page.

Sizes for rentals

A shop can’t hand you a wetsuit without knowing your size. When you mark bcd, fins, wetsuit, drysuit, hood or gloves as rent, the row shows needs a size. If you haven’t recorded that size yet, the top of the page says “the shop will need a size for” those items, and a sizes section appears at the foot of the page. Tap units & sizes there to fill them in, then come back.

What your kit feeds

Your kit is saved on your phone the moment you tap and kept with your account, so it comes back when you sign in on another phone.

Clear all

clear all appears at the top right once you’ve marked anything. It sets every item back to unmarked.
1

Tap clear all

Tap clear all at the top of my equipment.
2

Confirm

The app asks “Clear your whole kit?”. Tap clear all to go ahead, or cancel.
Clearing your kit takes effect immediately and can’t be undone. You’ll need to mark each item again.
The confirmation says your packing list and paperwork will be empty. Your packing list will be, but the paperwork still includes your certifications and insurance.
