# Hand signals

> Look up common dive hand signals in SCUBAzen and open the reference chart full size to read it.

SCUBAzen carries a PADI hand signals reference chart. Open the menu on home, tap **hand signals** under **app**, then tap **open full size** to read the chart and pinch to zoom. The chart is built into the app, so it works without a connection.

## Open the chart

    Open the menu on home and, under **app**, tap **hand signals**.

    The page shows the whole chart, labeled **PADI reference chart**, but it's too small to read at page width. Tap **open full size**, or tap the chart itself.

  <Step title="Zoom in">
    Pinch to zoom in on the signal you want, and drag to move around the chart.

  <Step title="Close it">
    Tap the close mark (the X) to go back.

## Agree signals before you dive

The page opens with the app's own reminder: "always review signals with your dive guide and buddy before commencing a dive".
